BR 1-06: The Inncredible Present

Lily thought that was the best birthday present she could have. (p. 61)

A birthday is special day for every people. Everyone will be surely happy and excited on that day. We have many exciting things on the birthday. For example, a birthday cake, a birthday song, a birthday card. Among of all those things, a birthday present is the most exciting thing.

Lily who is heroin in this story was gave incredible and very strange bag on her birthday. This bag is like Doraemon's  "four-dimensional pocket". I want it very much. However, this bag didn't readily work. I think Lily aimed too much high. Finally, her parents came back to her. It was the best present for her. She is blessed with good people such as her granny.

Essay 1-02b: University Life

Hello everyone! I am collecting ideas for an essay and I am going to introduce three things. They are about a convenience store, a library and a bookstore. I introduce them for exchange student. You can spend fun and comfortable KGU life.

One thing exchange students will need to know is a convenience store. It is LAWSON. It is on the first floor of the students' hall. It is very convenience. You can buy all-around things there. For example, you could buy a battery in LAWSON if you need to charge a battery of your electronic dictionary. They have every conceivable kind of merchandise in LAWSON. When you have lunch, you should come there to buy lunch. You can choose many kinds of foods such as noodles, rice balls, breads, salads and you can buy many kinds of confectioneries. Confectioneries wait for you when you are a bit hungry. There are many drinks, magazines, stationary, of course. You can do not only the shopping but also the use of the photocopier in LAWSON. There is also a photocopier in MARUZEN, but when you are near by students' hall, you should use one in there.

I gave you a word MARUZEN a little while ago. It is a bookstore on the first floor of  the building No.12. They sell a lot of books, magazines, technical books and comics at there. There are not only books but also stationery and confectioneries. You can read books, magazines at there without buying it.

Another thing exchange students will need to know is library. The library of KGU is a very big scale. You can do many things there. You can borrow books for two weeks if you want read novels. I often borrow books. It is good for us to read books. You can use a desk, a computer and printer if you must write reports. There are a lot of books becoming the document to write reports. You can watch DVDs if you have a free time until next period. Many kinds of DVD is prepared for the library. There are a lot of staffs in the library. They are all kind. You should ask them if you have some questions. I often go to the library. It is an ideal place to study because it is very quiet. The library is very useful for students.

Another thing exchange students will need to know is KGU liner. It is bus cervice of KGU. This cervice began since this year. You can take the bus which runs between KGU and Kumamoto Station. Surprisingly, a fare is only 100 yen! It is very useful for student.

KGU has a lot of things for us else. Please find and make use of them. I couldn't introduce everything. You will thank to them during campus life. They make you more happy in your campus life!:)

BR 1-05: The Elves and the Shoemaker

Nobody could go past his workshop without looking in. (p. 7)

Many people has read this story. I like this story. I think it is heart-warming story. The shoemaker and his wife are amiable and conscientious. I like the shoemaker's diligence, so I was worried when shoe seller who sells cheap shoes appeared. People want to buy cheap one, indeed, but cheap one is fragile and inferior. The shoe seller is very sly. I don't like him. However, the happiness is granted on a thing doing a proper act. Elves are good helper for the shoemaker.

By the way, I have a fundamental question about elves. Why they make shoes? Do they like making shoes? I don't see into about it… Finally, this story greeted happy end. I am relieved.

My friend comes back

May 17th, my friend Yuka came back to Japan. She goes to school in Hawaii, Honolulu. I met her last September. I really want to meet her. Yesterday, I met her and Ayaka and Reiko. We are best friends since high school student. We went TSUTAYA, PARCO and TSURUYA. We had a lunch there. I ate spaghetti with shrimps and short-neck clams. It was very good. There is a large amount.
Reiko couldn't eat all of them. We talked many things. Yuka told us memories of Hawaii. After we left that store, we walked TSURUYA. Then, there is a panel which has a hole. Ayaka stuck her face out of that hole.

We had a good laugh and I came to have a stomach ache. After we left TSURUYA, we went out for a little stroll.

Ayaka said goodbye at about half past three p.m. because she had to go to a part-time job. Yuka, Reiko and I went to MacDonald and we talked many things again. At about six p.m., Yuka had an appointment, so we said good-bye each other. We had a very good time. I was really glad to see Yuka. We are going to go to GREEN LAND next time. My Golden Week

Today, I talk about my golden week. I went to university May 2. I got into a bus that go to my father's hometown after I took that same day's all period and I go back home. The bus was crowded by people that return to each family home. My father's hometown is Ymatocho in Kamimashiki District. I arrived there at about 6 p.m. I met my grandmother after a long time. She was vigor. Yamatocho is encircled by nature.

There are no convenience stores near by our house. We ate dinner, took a bath and went to bed that day. Next day, I got up at 9 a.m. My father and grandmother had already gotten up. Why do country folks get up early in the morning...? That day, I visited to a my grandfather's grave with my father after I ate a breakfast. This year is the second anniversary of my grand father's death. After that, I walked around our house. Some bamboo shoots grew everywhere.

I go back home and was idling away my time. It was half past 4 p.m., so I left the house. I was given spending money by my grandmother. I  got into a bus and go back Kumamoto.

May 4, I met my friends, Ayaka,Reiko and Haruna. We arranged to meet us in front of PARCO. After we gathered, we went to J-cafe to eat lunch. I went to there first time. The structure of J-cafe look like POKEMON GYM (you can understand this if you have done games of POKEMON!). I ate spaghetti with shrimp and asparagus.

I t was very good, but there was a small amount for me. After we go out, we took PURIKURA. Then, Haruna had to go to part-time job,so we said good-bye to Haruna. We went to shopping after that, and I bought new clothes. We walked a lots and we were tired, so we went to Starbucks. I drank new commodity(I forgot its name), it was very good. I want to drink again. After that, we broke up there.
We met during little time, but we had good time.

I have spent fun golden week. How about you?

BR 1-03: Stories of Monsters

"Please don't hurt me," squeaked a tiny voice. (p. 12)

I think this book is interesting. There are three stories in this book.

First story is my favorite one. A monster that scared Ben and hid under his bed was very small. I think she is very pretty. She says, "I'm the most useless monster alive", but she has a clear head. It is her strong point. She should have any confidence.

Second story's heroine, Frankie is bravery and quick-witted. I like her and her pet, Bernie.

Third story was scary. Tom should not have played football to the invitation of the friend for the return of the errand. He must be eaten by monster if he didn't buy bath soaps. He escaped by the skin of his teeth.

BR 1-02: The Fairground Ghost

The eerie howls of the little ghost echoed around the fairground.(p. 47)

I think this book is a heart-warming story. I was under the impression that "ghost" is very terrible. However, the ghost which is described on this story is cute and timid. "Ghosts" have to surprise and scare people, but he can't do them. I don't like ghosts. However, I like this ghost.  Jake who is the hero of this story was kind. I think that he has tender heart. I like him. Ghost's encounter with Jake was a turning point. He would remain much more coward if he did not come across Jake.

By the way, why Jake's parents and his sister are short for him? I felt uneasy about it.

My part-time job

I resigned as a part timer today. My part-time job was a HOKABEN. There is the store near my house.

I can go there within five minutes. I started to work from the end of August of the last year. In those days I fell all interviews in a bookstore, a convenience store and dishwashing of a restaurant, so passing HOKABEN's interview was great help for me. I worked there five days in a week. I was in charge of a cash register mainly for eight months. It was a pleasure to take the communication with the regular customers. I liked talking with them. They often said me "Thank you". It made me happy and I was inclined to hang on working. There were some customers who raised an objection and threw a money at me. However, they became a good lesson. People of the part-time job, from the shopkeeper on down, were very good and kind. I often talked with Yamamoto who started to work the same time. It was interesting for me.  Though it was the first part-time job, I was in a good environment and it was very good experience.
