BR 2-18: Frog and Toad All Year

"I am so glad to be spending Christmas with you." (p.63)

This book is a series of Frog and Toad. I like this series very much, so when I found out this book in a library, I borrow it immediately. I borrowed a book of this series in spring semester, so I wanted to read other stories of this series. In this book, there are five stories.

First story is about winter. I thought frogs hibernate in winter, but Frog in this story is vigorous in winter. They ride on a sled. I have never ridden on a sled, so I want to do it. I think that it will be interesting. Toad returns in anger in the last of the story. I was slightly sad because I thought that close time was more suitable for Frog and Toad.

Second story is about coming of spring. I read this story and felt tender. Frog is a good talker. I thought that it was a story only by the English expression to "around the corner".

Third story is about ice cream. I love chocolate ice cream, too. The ice cream to eat in summer is very delicious! However, it is early to melt when I eat ice cream in summer. I ate ice cream for the middle to return from the university on foot in last summer, but it have melted in no time, so I really sympathize with Toad. It is to be able to say through an overall story, but he has a very handsome character.

Fourth story is about fallen leaves. It is terrible to clean fallen leaves. They were going to clean the dead leaves of the house of the partner secretly each other. I think they are quite considerate. I thought that it was pretty they failed, and to give up after all each other.

Final story is about Christmas. Toad is given to worrying! However, I can understand that feeling. Toad thinks that Frog is his dearest friend. I was impressed by the scene where Toad was going to go to help Frog. I want there to be them in good friends all the time.

BR 2-17: Harry and the Lady Next Door

Harry thought it was the most beautiful good-bye song he had ever heard. (p.62)

I think there are some troublesome neighbors everywhere. Besides, they are not often aware that they annoy people of the circumference in most cases. The book which I read this time is such a story. The hero of this story is Harry. He is a dog. He must have suffered a nuisance very much because a hearing ability was better than a human being, as for the dog. I think that the lady next door should have sung in the depths of the house not a window.

Harry repeated trial and error to make the lady next door stop. I think he is very wise dog. Her singing voice would be such noisy... I remembered a character called Jaian who came out to comics called Doraemon. Finally, the lady next door will move to the far-off country to study the song. I seemed to be going to send her with the whole town, but, as a result, will be somewhat happy ending.

BR 2-16: Fluffy And The Firefighters

The best way to fight fires is to keep them from happening in he first place! (p.37)

I chose this book because the illustlation is so cute, and I thought that it is easy for me to read it. May be, there are some books of this seriese, but I read only this book. Fluffy is a classroom guinea pig. I think Fluffy is too self-conscious, but he is a guinea pig who will listen to reason, too.

Tom and Mike that they appere in this book are firefighters. I think firefighters are very cool and bravery. I have never wanted to become a firefighter, but if I was a boy, I wanted to become a firefighter.

BR 2-15: Mr.Putter & Tabby Bake the Cake

And he had a good cat to keep him company. (p.28)

This book is a kind of Mr. Putter and Tabby series. I think baking a cake is very difficult because it takes effort. I can't bake a cake without a cookbook. When I was a high school student, I have got absorbed in the making of cookie, so I think making cookies is interesting. However, I have never baked a cake. Mr. Putter is a challenger. Did he hate a fruitcake such?

I was surprised that Mrs. Teaberry was waiting all the time until Mr. Putter has fallen asleep gets up because I had a hasty image for her for some reason. I thought that how to spend Christmas like them is good.

BR 2-14: Mr.Putter & Tabby Walk the Dog

He tugged and tugged and tugged. (p.12)

This book is a kind of Mr. Putter and Tabby series. This story is about a walk with Zeke. Zeke is a smart dog, I know, but if he go for a walk, his motivation goes up suddenly. I think it is dog's nature. I have never had a pet dog, but my image of dog is it. However, Zeke is really smart dog because he understood that when he got a reward if he behaved himself immediately.

Mr. Putter considerably had a hard time to walk Zeke, but Mrs. Teaberry does it every day! I think it is very laborious work. People do not take effort cats about it because people do not need to take the cat to the walk.

BR 2-13: Mr.Putter & Tabby Take the Train

Sometimes her idears were odd and involved running fast, or wearing featheers, or having purple toes. (p.5)

This book is a kind of Mr.Putter and Tabby series. Mr. Putter likes taking the train. I like taking the train, too. I want to ride it long time as possible as I can. I can enjoy seeing views from big window. I agree that the trip to train is fun, but I do not think it is a good idea that they bring pets. Tabby and Zeke are very bright, indeed, but it is a rule that do not bring pets. If there is the person of allergy to animal, how does it turn out in a train? I think that they must follow the rule.

BR 2-12: Mr.Putter & Tabby Catch the Cold

He had a Thermos strapped to his back and he was wagging his tail. (p.17)

This book is a kind of Mr.Putter and Tabby series. New characters appeared. Their names are Mrs.Teabery and Zeke. I was convinced that Mr.Putter doesn't have any friends,  so I surprised when Mrs.Teabery and Zeke appeared. However, I am relieved to read it.

I think Tabby and Zeke have clear heads. I was impressed by Tabby's sitting on Mr.Putter's head to keep it warm while he read a newspaper. I was also impressed by Tabby's rubbing Mr.Putter to help him feel better. However, I have laughed unintentionally when he sneezed towards her face. Zeke is very smart dog. And he is very cute! I want to have him...

BR 2-11: Mr.Putter & Tabby Pour the Tea

Mr.Putter was tired of living alone. (p.7)

I think this story is very tender. Mr.Putter and Tabby are very good combination! The single life of the old man must be lacking. I think that he would spend the lonely life. Tabby is old cat, so she would spend the lonely life, too. They helped each other. I think that it is very splendid relations.

If I become lonely in the old age, I want to have a cat and have a life like them. They are my ideal.

By the way, I was surprised that Tabby eats muffin, and drinks tea. Is it real?

BR 2-10: The Bookstore Valentine

"They are too shy to send these notes," said the mice. (p.38)

This story was very pretty. Characters in this story are very charming. I think Mr. Brown and Cobweb are good combination! Cobweb is very smart and cute. Mice are good, too. The mouse was apt to be written in the crafty character, but all mice which came out to this story were pretty. I think Mr.Brown's ties are very fashionable! I like his fashion.

I think Mr.Brown and Ms.Button are very innocent. They are innocent to throw it away without being able to hand the love letter which they wrote with much effort with them! However, I am glad that they were finally bound together on the coattails of Cobweb and mice!

BR 2-09: Daniel Radcliffe

The three children are quickly good friends. (p.7)

I chose this book because I love Harry Potter. I know Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter, but I didn't know about him before the role of Harry.

I thought whether the part of Harry was his first work, but it was different. His first job was  David Copperfield. I didn't know the work, but after examining it, seemed to be a famous work. He is great!

I thought Daniel is the right boy for the role of Harry. I love Harry Potter seriese. I read all of them. I am glad to  know that he read the Harry Potter series. And I like Harry, Ron and Hermione. I am glad to know that they are good friends, too.

I want to watch him in a screen, but Harry Potter seriese ended. I pray for his activity from this!

BR 2-08: Karen and the Artist

"They're extraordinary," he says.  (p.8)

The artist who names Antonio is little self-centered. He has a talent, indeed, but the act that he leaves a picture, and the money does not pay is annoying to a barman. I think he lacks of common sense. For such him, Karen might be a savior. I think Karen is a reliable person and smart. If it is her, it will be served out an agent magnificently. However, may she do the coexistence of a cabin attendant and the agent? I think it is hard for her. Moreover, I seem that Antonio depends on her. If he is successful as a painter, as for Karen, a living will become easy.

BR 2-07: The Old Woman Who Named Things

She didn't like the idea of being a lonely old woman without any friends, without anyone whom she could call by name. (p.4)

I am glad because the old woman was not lonely finally. I named my iPod and my bicycle, but I feel loneliness like her, and it is because there is merely attachment not treasure. Incidentally, my iPod's name is Ashley and my bicycle's name is Natasha.

By the way, I was surprised that the old woman's car which named Betsy was so cool...! Her house, bed and chair were cute. I feel a sense of incongruity. If Lucky dies earlier than the old woman, it is that she becomes lonely again to be one worry.

BR 2-06: Good Night, Good Knight

So he bent and kissed each scaly little cheek. (p.41)

I chose this book because the illustration is cute, and I think the title is little interesting. There were some I read this story, and thinking.

First, I wonder how three little dragons slept so far. Indeed were they sleeplessness so far? It is hard to think so. Was the act that had a Good Knight work as them really necessary? It means that Good Knight must continue the same thing every night from now on really, if necessary.

Second, I think a Good Knight is not "good" Knight. He is easy to deal with. He was called to come four times at the midnight and I was honest and coped. I read this story and was irritated by the second when he was called to come. His horse is an amazed look, too finally.

BR 2-05: Rich Man, Poor Man

I thought about my only son, Saul. (p.31)

I think this story is very unrewarded and disgusting. Adam is very pitiful. I thought that this story is the man that just a thing became the billionaire in an opportunity gets in the swing and loses all and turns back to poverty before I read it. However, Adam didn't become even a rich person.

I feel anger for the official and the photographer. I understand that he was busy, but I think that he should have coped a little more faithfully. Adam can't read and write letters. Though it is seems to understand them because Adam came over from the village which  had not heard. The photographer is more terrible. He is already a fraud. The person having low social position cannot but swallow it after all. I think Mr.Sheth is narrow-minded while saying a person assistant injury enthusiast because he raised only 10 pounds not 100 pounds.

BR 2-04: Rabbit and Hare Divide an Apple

Mr.Raccoon left quickly‐very quickly. (p.15)

I chose this book because illustration is very cute! I like this illustration. By the way, I didn't know "Hare" in Japanese. It is "Nousagi"! I did not know that I was different from a rabbit in hare either...

I like characters in this book. They are all lovely and little fool. I think Mr.Raccoon is cunning, but did not a rabbit and the hare notice before he finished eating all the mushrooms? Although it is quarrelled with a rabbit hare to get bigger one, the place where they cooperated when  Mr.Raccoon came and were going to protect an apple was interesting.

BR 2-03: The Town Mouse and the Country Mouse

'It's good to be home again.' (p.19)

I think this story is famous. I like this story. Town mouse likes town's life, and country mouse likes country's life. Japan has a proverb "When in Rome do as the Romans do". I think it is best way to live in a place where is not local. However, everyone likes their hometowns the best.

I live in Kumamoto. I like Kumamoto, and I want to live here until die, but I long to live Tokyo, Osaka and Fukuoka. If I live in Tokyo or Osaka or Fukuoka, I will acclimate myself to the new land. However, I must certainly suffer from homesickness. It is the first to live in the place where the human being lived so long not only a mouse.

BR 2-02: The Goose that laid the Golden Eggs

They were very poor but they had everything they needed. (p.9)

I think this story is very instructive. I like Tom and Elena when they were poor. They were living in humble circumstances. Though I thought that I wanted to live a life like them … I don't know why the goose laid golden eggs, but it might become so that it was given little support for their modest life. However, they became greedy. I was disappointed. I believed that Elena would not change. Finally, Tom and Elana were blinded by geed. The goose was killed. It was very sorrowful. They cannot come back in those days when even poverty was happy.

BR 2-01: The Monster Gang

He couldn't see without his glasses and had to wear them over his costume. (p.28)

First of all, I was surprised at their thought to play a gang because they did not have anything to do. I think children's idea is interesting. However, I think that it looks slightly interesting.

I have one question. On earth how long would there be the genuine monster in a tree house? Did he settle down there since before Ben gathered? Or he found Ben who played the part of a monster and did steal? In either case, I am reliable because it was not the monster which is bad for fear of him.

BR 1-15: Tigger Comes to the Forest

"But I think," said Piglet to Pooh, "that he's been strengthened quite enough." (p. 48)

I chose this book because I knew Pooh. He is famous character of Disney. I like him, so I read this book.

Tigger who is a friend of Pooh appeared in this book. I think he is a clown. He wandered to search some foods for his breakfast. Pooh and his friends tried to give some food for him. I think they are very kind. However, Tigger couldn't eat all of them, so I came to get irritated. He should eat them without picking and choosing.

Finally, he ate Roo's Extract of Malt. Tigger come to like it and Roo was happy because he don't like it. However, I think it is bad for Kanga. Mother is anxious about a child always. Tigger shouldn't eat Roo's medicine.

BR 1-14: Mouse Tales

"Hello rainbow!" they both said together. (p. 31)

There are seven stories in this book. Hero or heroin of this book are all mice. I think this father has many children.

First story is about wishing well. It is fearful that there is someone in the well. It is uncanny. However, all wishes came true. It is enviable!

Second story is about clouds. I often see sky and clouds. I can see clouds look like anything, but almost all of them is similar to cotton candy. I should have pliable ideas such as the mouse.

Third story is about very tall mouse and very short mouse. They are very good friend! I think maybe very short mouse feel inferior to very tall mouse, but he isn't! They will be good friends for a long time!

Fourth story is about the mouse and the winds. I thought that winds are irresponsible, but the mouse could live good place by them. When the mouse ride a boat, he should row.

Fifth story is about the journey. First of all, the distance from the mouse's house to a house of mother is too long! They should live near. It is surprising that he could change his feet! It is very strange.

Sixth story is about the old mouse. I also like a walk, and I dislike children, but I don't treat them cruelly. He could know the value of consideration.

Final story is about the bath. I think the mouth very audacious. I dislike him. He wasted many water. It is bad for the environment.

There are many individualism mice in this story. Please read this book!
