Essay 2-03b: Joint Movie Review

The member of our group is Nana and Sakura. We worked jointly on this essay. We are going to write about works of Daniel Radcliffe. May be, almost people know about Daniel Radcliffe because he is a star of Harry Potter series. The series are very famous. We watched two movies that he appeared; Harry Potter and Philosopher’s Stone and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.

Nana watched Harry Potter and Philosopher’s Stone. Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone is the first novel in the Harry Potter series. It describes how Harry discovers he is a wizard, makes close friends and a few enemies at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. But he didn’t know he is wizard until he became 11 years old. And with the help of his friend thwarts an attempted comeback by the evil wizard Lord Voldemort, who killed Harry’s parents when Harry was one year old. Voldemort possess Quirinus Quirrell. Quirrell can’t take Philosopher’s Stone from The Mirror of Erised but Harry looked it he got the stone easily. Voldemort going to take the stone away from Harry use Quirrell but Quirrell burned to touch Harry. Then he died. Voldemort ran away because he doesn’t have body.

Watched this movie then thought picture and sound are good. This movie is using a lot of computer graphics, so it is powerful and thrilling. The original work is novel, so it is difficult to image. But watching picture for movie and it is fuss over derails so people couldn’t take their eyes off it. It is easy to image if stand School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, like this. And Daniel Radcliffe is fit to Harry’s character. He describe Harry very well. And if you watch this movie, you can find Daniel Radcliffe is so young and small than now. If you have watched Harry Potter series, you should watch this movie. It is recommend for who have never watched Harry Potter. It is interesting movie.

Sakura watched Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. This movie is the second work of Harry Potter series. Daniel performed Harry again. Harry grow up than the first work, and became the look that is clear-cut and fearless. This story is about Chamber of Secrets. There was the Chamber of Secrets in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. There was the legend that a monster of Slytherin was there. In this movie, Harry met Dobby who is a house-elf. Dobby was a key person of this movie. Dobby is a scatterbrain. Moreover, he doesn’t know how to get things done, but he tried to help Harry. He respects Harry and appears even in a later work to help Harry. In the latter half of the story, Harry confronted Tom Marvolo Riddle. Tom is Lord Voldemort. He wanted to revive in perfect form. Harry fought basilisk that is a monster of Slytherin. Basilisk was very scary and spooky. A scene of a battle with basilisk was very thrilling! The end of a battle scene, Harry stabbed Riddle’s diary with the tusk of the basilisk.

There are some comical scenes in this movie. For example, Harry and Ron transformed themselves into Goyle and Crabbe with Polyjuice Potion. However, they often commit a blunder because the voices are not changed even if use the Polyjuice Potion.On the other hand, Hermione fails in transformation and becomes a half cat person. And also, Gilderoy Lockhart appeared this movie. He is popular among women by the features that are the great deal of effort. In fact, he has a foolish character. The incantation which he hit for Ron came back to himself, and he was made to lose memory in the end of the movie.

Daniel Radcliffe has finished acting as a star in all of Harry Potter series. He became a very famous actor all over the world. However, it is as Harry Potter. He is too strong in the impression of the position. He continues still energizing, so we wish for that he can play an active role at the forefront. In the future, we will be able to see him on the screen as a new role.

Essay 2-02b: Complete revisions

I am going to tell you about my favorite place. I have many favorite places, so it is hard for me to choose one place. However, I chose one place. It is my house! I write about my house from now on.

I like my house. My house is my place of residence since I was born. My house is the third floor of the apartment. My house is very small, but it is comfortable for me to live. There is not my own room. To tell the truth, I want my own room, but I am not in need of it for the moment. There is my house comparatively towards a downtown. It is very useful for me.

There are good places in my house. First is living room. I spend most of the time for house which is in the house here. There is a table in the middle of living room. I do anything at the table. For example, eating, reading comic books, drawing pictures, watching TV programs, and so on. It is difficult for me to leave from the table more and more in the present season because I have kotatsu. The table is a low table, so I sit down on a legless chair. I have been using this legless chair for a long time. I can relax when I sit down at the table in living room.

Second good place in my house is a bedroom. I like futon than a bed, so I usually lie with the futon. I make room pitch-darkness whenever I sleep. There are my favorite pillow and blanket. I am happy when I am wrapped up in a blanket. I love sleeping, so I don't want to leave futon every morning.

Third good place in my house is a toilet. I bring some things when I go to the toilet. For example, smart phone, magazines, comic books and books. Moreover, I think the toilet is the place that is just right to think about things. I think about many things there. Many people will not think that people stay long in a toilet to be good. However, I stay long in the toilet in spite of myself. May be, I am a nuisance to my family, but I can't readily stop it.

My house is very good for me to live. However, I don't want to do that I don't go out of my house all the time. I think when I came home from the other places, I felt my house is good. May be, I will live in my house for the time being. I want to make good house such as my house in the future.

Essay 1-03b: Language Learning History

I am going to write about my language learning history. I have learned some languages since my childhood. My parents are both Japanese, so they speaks Japanese. I also usually speak Japanese. However, I can speak and understand English little. Well, I write about my English learning history. After that, I will write about leaning German a little.

My first encounter with English is when I was a child attending kindergarten. An English teacher came our kindergarten. We sang some English songs, and learn English. We enjoyed Christmas party with him. However, I do not remember that thing at that time so clearly. My mother says "he was very good teacher".

After I entered an elementary school, I began to go to KUMON. It was when I was a fourth grader. I learned English and Japanese there. I had to go there on Monday and Thursday a week. I also had many homework. It was very disagreeable for me, but I could learn English. I had to read sentences in English and listen to CDs and pronounce them and take tests. I continued going to there for approximately four years. My English learning level was raised. It was very valuable experience for me. I have begun to come to like English from this time.

I entered a junior high school after I graduated an elementary school. We have English class there, so I faced English classes with confidence. It was easy for me to understand English in a junior high school. I enjoyed to learn English. I came to like English more and more. I think my English teacher was very wonderful to teach English. She made us happy in classes. We could enjoy during learn English. She tried to make classes fun. I was taught English by her for three years. I deeply appreciated her.

I entered a high school. I belonged to synthesis course. I was invited by English course. However, I did not go that course because if I went English course, I had to attend extracurricular classes in morning. I wanted to learn English more harder, but I did not want to attend that, so I decided to learn English in synthesis course. Luckily, my class teachers are English teacher all the time for three years. I could ask some questions, and consult about learning English. Thaks to them, I was able to keep English records with being good.

At last, I entered this university last year. I am in the department of Britain and United States, of course. I have to learn English more deeply. I had five required subjects when I was freshman. They are writing, reading, listening, speaking and English grammar. I learned hard. As a result, I took all credits. I have been learning English. I want to do my best from now on.

By the way, I have learned not only English but also German. I took German class when I was freshman. I was able to choose one from German and French and Spanish and Russian. I chose German. It was very difficult! The pronunciation is similar to English, but It is difficult for me to pronounce German words. The grammar is difficult, too. I had many hardships. However, I could took credit. I want to visit Germany because I want to try whether my German goes properly.

I have learned English since my childhood. I want to continue to learn English. However, I am insufficient to master English. Maybe, my English learning history is useful to learn English harder. I want to make more English learning history from now on.

Essay 1-02c: To enjoy KGU Life

We are going to introduce about good point of this university. There are many good points in this university, for example, students, teachers, buildings, and so on. We think that this university is the most wonderful university all of university in Kumamoto. We have some favorite places in this university. This time, we want to introduce about good point of this university for exchange students.

First, exchange students will need to know is KGU liner. It is bus service of KGU. This service began since this year. You can take the bus which runs between KGU and Kumamoto Station. Surprisingly, a fare is only 100 yen! It is very useful for student.

Second, exchange students will need to know is English Lounge. You can interchange with different country people at there. There several Japanese staff and exchange students and English teachers. I have gone to there only one time. I could talk with many people, especially foreigner. At the time, I had a very good time with my friends and exchange student. Not only you can enjoy with many people, but also you can learn foreign languages. If you want to improve your speaking Japanese ability, I recommend to go to there. The English Lounge is the most suitable place to interchange with foreigner and to improve your speaking Japanese ability.

Third, exchange students will need to know is a convenience store. It is LAWSON. It is on the first floor of the students' hall. It is very convenient. You can buy all-around things there. For example, you could buy a battery in LAWSON if you need to charge battery of your electronic dictionary. They have every conceivable kind of merchandise in LAWSON. When you have lunch, you should come there to buy lunch. You can choose many kinds of foods such as noodles, rice balls, breads, salads, and you can buy many kinds of confectioneries. Confectioneries wait for you when you are a bit hungry. There are many drinks, magazines, stationary, of course. You can do not only the shopping but also the use of the photocopier in LAWSON. There is also a photocopier in MARUZEN, but when you are near by students' hall, you should use one in there.

We gave you a word MARUZEN a little while ago. It is a bookstore on the first floor of  the building No.12. They sell a lot of books, magazines, technical books and comics at there. There are not only books but also stationery and confectioneries. You can read books, magazines at there without buying it.

Forth,  exchange students will need to know is library. The library of KGU is a very big scale. You can do many things there. You can borrow books for two weeks if you want read novels. I often borrow books. It is good for us to read books. You can use a desk, a computer and printer if you must write reports. There are a lot of books becoming the document to write reports. You can watch DVDs if you have a free time until next period. Many kinds of DVD is prepared for the library.There are a lot of staffs in the library. They are all kind. You should ask them if you have some questions. I often go to the library. It is an ideal place to study because it is very quiet. The library is very useful for students.

There are many good point in this university, but we want more elevators. we think we are short of elevators. An elevator is crowded with people who use elevator to go to next classroom, so there are people who is late for class. There are some stairs, but we tired before class if we should go to seventh floor by stairs. It is unfairness for students who is late for class because of couldn't step into elevator.

And we think we need a small bulletin like a guide board. This university is very large and there are many buildings, so many people are lost. When we entered to this university, we were always lost. we didn't know which direction we should go . If there were guide board, we could know direction we should go. Of course, we have a pocket notebook which written building's number, but it is troublesome to take out a pocket notebook. If there were guide boards, we could spend comfortable time.

KGU has a lot of things for us else. Please find and make use of them. We couldn't introduce everything. You will thank to them during campus life. They make you more happy in your campus life!

Essay 1-02b: University Life

Hello everyone! I am collecting ideas for an essay and I am going to introduce three things. They are about a convenience store, a library and a bookstore. I introduce them for exchange student. You can spend fun and comfortable KGU life.

One thing exchange students will need to know is a convenience store. It is LAWSON. It is on the first floor of the students' hall. It is very convenience. You can buy all-around things there.
